The Lagoon & Trifid Nebula (M8 / M20) are located in the constellation Sagittarius near the center of our Milky Way galaxy. Located between 4000 and 5000 light-years from Earth these nebula are famous star froming regions in the summer night sky.

This photo was taken during June of 2026 under the dark skies of Fox Park Wyoming. The telescope used was the William Optics Redcat 71 and ZWO ASI6200 CCD camera. Total exposure time was 2 hours using red, green, blue and Hydrogen alpha filters.
