About the Nebula:

The Crescent Nebula, NGC 6888 is an emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus.  It is located 2 degrees SW of the star Sadr in the heart of Cygnus.  The Crescent Nebula formed by the fast stellar winds from the Wolf-Rayet star WR136.  This stellar wind collided with the slower gas emitted from the red giant star and created the Crescent Nebula.

The deep blue gas shell in the lower left of the image is from the Wolf-Rayet star WR134.

In the upper right section of the image you can see the faint soap bubble nebula.  This is a planetary nebula discovered by an amateur astronomer in 2007.
